Planning your big day in Fiji? Whether you’re dreaming of beachfront vows, a lush garden ceremony, or a barefoot celebration on a private island you’ll want to be organised with everything you need for your hair and make-up session.
Here’s our guide and insiders tips when it comes to hair and makeup prep.
1. SEND BRIDAL INSPO PICS
Either send through photos of yourself with hair & make up you have loved, or take a look online and see what inspo is out there. We recommend choosing images of someone with similar skintone, hair colour etc to yourself so it’s easier to imagine what you will look like. Email these through to us to save on your file.

2. READ OUR PREPARATION CHECKLIST
We cover everything from skin prep, sunscreen, hair prep and tan prep in our pre-wedding documentation so we would love you to give this a read. We also suggest sharing this with your bridal party in advance to help things run smoothly on the day.
Why we love it: You can relax knowing your bridal party is organised and ready to go.
3. ROOM PREPARATION
Often overlooked, we can’t tell you how a tidy room will improve your day! You will feel organised from start to finish, your photos will look better, and there is so much less chance of things getting lost (like your vows!) or misplaced causing last minute chaos. Do a quick tidy up 30 min before we arrive!
Why we love it: It makes our job easy to set up and gives us more space to work too
4. ORGANISE YOUR REFRESHMENTS
Many brides forget until the last minute about refreshments and food for their bridal parties - understandable - but this can cause hangriness and delays if the food is late. Make sure you order early and are pre-prepared with water, bubbles (and glasses) etc to make the day run on time
Why we love it: This keeps everyone happy throughout the day and reduces the chance of them leaving the room and reentering the humidity!
5. GET A TRIAL (AND OTHER PRE-WEDDING SERVICES)
We can’t stress this enough. If hair and make-up is important to you, book a trial run. It’s the best way to ensure your look will be what you are comfortable with for the wedding day. Also think about: Nails, brows, tans - anything you need to do to get you into tip top shape before the day.
